The Creative Challenge for August is flowers. Although I would say that spring is the most flowery period this last month of summer does have a lot of flowers too. Roses, lavender and a lot of others I do not know the name of. I do love flowers, but it´s not my area of expertise. But I do grow lavender in my garden. I just love the smell. Maybe I´ll try to include them in this months challenge.
When I paint I tend to come back to flowers. It is something I´ve painted since I started to paint as a child. And there are as many kinds of flowers as you can imagine. One artist that I really like is Alisa Burke. She paints a lot of flowers in all kinds of shapes and with different mediums. I have taken a few of her e-courses, too. I find her really inspiring.
