During this event, we will go through natural dyeing with organic indigo, folding techniques and what fabric to use.
Linnea Blomgren textile artist will guide us through shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth and binding it, then dying.
Indigo dye comes in many forms, we use natural indigo dye powder from Indian Indigo fera tinctoria and a sustainable 1-2-3 vat method.
This is a two-hour introductory workshop where the vats will be set up for you ready to get creative and fold, twist and tie 5 fabric samples each. If you would like to explore further we will have a small selection of silk scarves, totes etc for sale.
You don’t want to miss out on this event. We guarantee that you will create beautiful items to be proud of.
